Iran Quake Leaves 2 Dead, Hundreds Injured, Earthquake Threats In The U.S., Russian Hacker Claims FBI Coerced Confession Over Clinton Cyberattack

Iran Earthquake Leaves 2 Dead, Hundreds Injured

A 5.7-magnitude earthquake has hit the Iranian city of Pishqaleh in North Khorasan province, killing two people and injuring at least 225 more, according to IRNA, Iran's official news agency.
The Red Crescent Society said 37 search and rescue teams were sent to the quake-hit region Saturday, immediately after the earthquake struck.
Eighty percent of the injured and survivors have been relocated into tents, the Red Crescent said.
The quake was centered at a depth of 11 kilometers.
Iran is located atop several major fault lines and is prone to frequent earthquakes.

Interesting to note the quake occured almost exactly in the same area where tropical storm Adrian formed 24 hours earlier.

Above tropical storm Adrian rapidly strengthened on Tuesday, becoming the earliest tropical depression and tropical storm on record in the eastern Pacific Ocean since reliable data began in 1966. Full story here

May 12, 2017                                                                                                              Press Release 01-2017

The International Earthquake and Volcano Prediction Center (IEVPC) announces today that it has notified the Secretary of Energy, Rick Perry, of an imminent threat to US nuclear facilities from a wave of catastrophic earthquakes that is about to start.

The determination of the scope and scale of this threat is based on years of seismic and climate research by IEVPC scientists that has culminated in the recent publication of the book titled “Upheaval!  Why Catastrophic Earthquakes Will Soon Strike the United States.”
Co-authored by four scientists with extensive records of success in climate and earthquake prediction, the book “Upheaval!” lays out the case for an 80% chance or greater, of devastating earthquakes to hit the US between 2017 and 2038.

In this letter, emailed to Secretary Perry on May 9, 2017, IEVPC Chief Executive Officer, Mr. John L. Casey, a co-author of the research and book, explains that the researchers at the IEVPC have detected three categories of precursor earthquake activity that have led them to getting the word out about this imminent threat. They include strong correlations to historical quake patterns, solar activity linked to the worst earthquakes and climate change, and deep energy flows within the Earth’s crust that reach the surface in the form of large destructive quakes over M6.5.

The letter to the Secretary makes a strong warning of disastrous collateral damage to several regions of the United States as a result of earthquake shocks to existing nuclear facilities and power stations as well as to nuclear waste and spent fuel rod storage facilities.
The letter goes on to make important recommendations to mitigate the threat of catastrophic earthquakes to US nuclear facilities. They include a review of existing facilities to make sure they can withstand the new higher levels of quakes predicted and documented in “Upheaval!” In addition, the IEVPC letter recommends the immediate relocation of all spent nuclear fuel from power stations and related nuclear waste, to the Yucca Mountain, Nevada site or other earthquake-safe nuclear waste storage facilities.

This latest letter to Secretary Perry follows a similar warning issued by the IEVPC to the US government and all those states at high risk of catastrophic earthquakes. That June 6, 2016 notification was made prior to the release of the book, “Upheaval!” that contains all the research material and the new quake threat assessment by the IEVPC.

According to Dr. Dong Choi, Director of Research at the IEVPC, “The threat of highly destructive earthquakes from the west coast to the east coast of the USA is very real indeed. Our years of study show conclusively that now is the time when the US will be most at risk from these waves of record magnitude earthquakes that follow solar activity and energy flows on predictable cycles.”

Dr. Rich Swier, an online journalist, says on the cover of the book “Upheaval!” that it is “… a book that every American and every citizen of planet Earth should read and heed.”
Mr. John L. Casey, CEO of the IEVPC adds, “Our estimates of the damage that could strike as soon as tomorrow, indicates that many millions of Americans could experience earthquakes so large that whole states and regions of the country could be without water and power for weeks or months at a time. Dr. Thomas Jordan, one of the country’s most respected geologists has said for example, that the San Andreas is “…locked, loaded, and ready to roll.” Our research backs up his belief in a devastating quake, “the big one,” finally hitting California any day now. However, we believe the threat is much worse than the estimated tens of thousands of dead, widespread destruction and civil disturbances that are coming to both the Los Angeles or San Francisco areas.

"We are especially concerned for the New Madrid Seismic Zone (NMSZ) in the center of our country and how an expected M7.0 to M 8.0 earthquake there will not only cause havoc in the eight states around the NMSZ, but will also shut off much of the northeast's fuel and gas that goes through pipelines in the NMSZ. This letter to Secretary Perry is our latest attempt to raise red flags about the additional quake related threat to both energy supplies and to nuclear power stations and nuclear waste storage facilities. Loss of control over nuclear facilities from quake damage could add a whole new dangerous dimension to the expected massive loss of life and property we and others are forecasting.

"What we are saying is that our research demonstrates that multiple “big ones” are about to sweep across the US between 2017 and 2038 as history shows has happened before. We should begin immediate preparations across the board to safeguard the country for this new era of geophysical danger that has just begun.”

A Russian man wanted by the Justice Department on charges connected to hacking U.S. companies now claims the FBI offered him immunity in exchange for accepting responsibility for cyberattacks targeting former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

FBI agents promised Mr. Nikulin money, American citizenship and a free apartment for taking the fall over hacking Mrs. Clinton’s campaign, he alleged in a letter published Thursday by Nastoyashchoe Vremya, a Russian-language website.

“[They told me:] you will have to confess to breaking into Clinton’s inbox for [President Trump] on behalf of [Russian President Vladimir Putin],” Mr. Nikulin wrote, as translated by The Moscow Times.

"Later I received an offer from an agent: "You will have to declare that you broke Hillary Clinton mailbox for J. Trump on Putin's orders, you must agree to the extradition to the US, then we will remove all charges give you apartment and money, US citizenship "- I gave up shortly" questioning "was over, the agent said that they had come"

According to Nikulin, the proposal was made during conversations 14-15 November. The following conversation then took place on February 7 (translation via Currenttime.tv)

"You have to say that it is you broke-mail Clinton, that you prepared and entered into a democratic network and polling stations on Putin's orders, you call the names of accomplices, agree to extradition, and in America we will resolve all the issues will be living in an apartment and we will provide you all."

“He was offered to falsely testify that he was cooperating in the attack on the Democratic Party,” defense attorney Martin Sadilek said Thursday, the Associated Press reported.

FBI agents interviewed Mr. Nikulin twice since his arrest, he wrote, and each time asked him to confess to hacking American political targets. Mr. Nikulin said he refused their initial request last November, then received a second offer three months later.

FBI agents asked Mr. Nikulin to admit hacking Mrs. Clinton’s presidential campaign, Democratic Party computers and American polling stations “on Putin’s orders,” he wrote.

In exchange, he alleges, the FBI said he’d be extradited to the U.S. but ultimately given money, citizenship and a free apartment.

The testimonies of persecuted Christians and policy proposals to address the brutality highlighted the World Summit in Defense of Persecuted Christians this week in Washington, and both left religious freedom activists ready to work even harder to protect the right of free religious expression around the world.
Persecution of Christians is on the rise throughout the world, with some experts concluding we’re seeing the worst oppression of believers in recent memory.
“We are definitely seeing an expansion of persecution issues around the world. Pew Center estimates that 79 percent of the world lives in a place that faces high or very high social hostilities and government restrictions on religion and religious expression. That’s true for the persecuted church but it’s also true for all sorts of other places as well,” said 21st Century Wilberforce Initiative Director of Policy Relations Nathan Wineinger.
He says this week’s summit had a two-fold purpose.
“The main focus was on figuring out how people around the world can call leaders to account and make sure that the persecution of Christians is addressed in policy and in practice on the ground,” said Wineinger.
“We (also) heard from people who experienced really horrific moments of persecution. Also people from Iraq and Syria talked about the importance of Christian forgiveness in confronting persecution issues,” said Wineinger.

He says the testimonies of persecuted believers were the most gripping moments of the summit.
“I heard the story about a pastor who had been abducted in Iraq and for nine days was held and tortured, and then after that is finally released. When he gets out, he goes and tells his congregation to forgive the people who had persecuted him and to not take vengeance,” said Wineinger.
He says similar acts of love were also heard.
“It was extremely powerful to hear those people talking about how they’re moving forward, how they’re bringing healing to their communities, about how they’re bringing aid, food and shelter to displaced people. That was really powerful testimony about how to respond to persecution,” said Wineinger.

So, one week after the election Mr. Comey's FBI is offering a hacker immunity, immigration, an apartment, and money if he will confess to
1. Hacking into Clinton's email box
2. Saying it was at the request of Trump
3. and direction of Putin.

OK....this was one week after the election. Sounds like the whole shebang DNC/Establishment is pretty well invested in this Russian story. The only game in town I guess.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there.
