Geert Wilders Recommends Islam Be Recategorized as Political, Not Religious

Dutch politician and freedom fighter Geert Wilders has an unusual but eminently sensible idea, namely that we westerners should reclassify Islam as a totalitarian political system rather than a religion. Treating violent Islam like a normal religion certainly misunderstands the ultimate purpose of the jihad movement, that of world conquest where the entire planet would be run according to repressive misogynous sharia law.

When the jihadists say a world caliphate is their aim, they are serious and dedicated to that goal. Hijrah should be a word more in common usage: it means jihad conquest accomplished through immigration, and the current situation of open borders into and within Europe is absolutely deadly.

The Koran does have over 100 verses that promote violence as a way to advance the belief: e.g. (Quran 4:76) – “Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah…”

Back to Geert Wilders, he recently sat down with Ezra Levant of Rebel Media for a half-hour chat about various subjects concerning politics and civilization. The whole thing is worth a listen, though I transcribed the section about reimagining Islam which seems particularly important now, when western societies are jumping through hoops to treat Muslims like Methodists. Imagine if Hitler had insisted the Nazi philosophy was actually a new religion, appropriate to modern times — some would have bought into the scam in order to be thought open-minded. Just as foggy liberals today accuse Islam critics of “racism.”

Pro-abortion billionaire George Soros has reportedly given $246 million dollars to pro-abortion groups that were behind the Women’s March this year and the upcoming “day without women” strike.
Soros is no stranger to funding the nation’s leading organizations advancing the abortion agenda and a new report from the Media Research Center makes it clear that funding continues.
According to the report, Soros did not give the two events any money directly but he has given nearly a quarter of a billion dollars to 100 groups that are partnering with both pro-abortion events. A list of organizations behind those events includes the Planned Parenthood abortion business and other top groups that lobby and support abortion like the ACLU.
The Media Research Center report also indicates that Soros is one of Planned Parenthood’s biggest owners and his given at least 21 million to the abortion company since 2000.

That pro-abortion mantra was reconfirmed when the Women’s March threw out Stanton Healthcare — that it initially accepted as a partner for the event. The Pregnancy Center was removed by March organizers even though Stanton provides quality healthcare free of charge to low income women, women with unexpected pregnancies and the refugee communities.

Southern California could be overdue for a major earthquake along the Grapevine north of Los Angeles, according to a sobering new study by the U.S. Geological Survey.
The research found earthquakes happen there on average every 100 years. The last major temblor occurred 160 years ago, a catastrophic geological event that ruptured an astonishing 185 miles of the San Andreas fault.
The land on either side of the fault has been pushing against the other at a rate of more than 1 inch a year since 1857, the researchers said, accumulating energy that will be suddenly released in a major earthquake, when the land along the fault would move by many feet.
“So you expect that amount of accumulation of energy will be released in the future in a large-magnitude rupture, somewhere along the San Andreas,” said the lead author of the study, USGS research geologist Kate Scharer.
A repeat of the 1857 earthquake could damage aqueducts that ferry water into Southern California from the north, disrupt electric transmission lines and tear up Interstate 5, whose Grapevine section runs on top of the San Andreas fault at Tejon Pass.
Central Los Angeles could experience a couple of minutes of shaking, which could feel like a lifetime compared with the 1994 Northridge earthquake, which shook for roughly 15 seconds.
“This would be more broadly felt across the basin,” Scharer said. “It would impact our ability to be a world-class city.”
There has been a long drought of major earthquakes on the southern San Andreas fault, which has slowly been accumulating strain as the Pacific plate grinds northward against the North American plate. The seismic stress has been building up without relief since the presidency of Franklin Pierce.
The quake will probably be something few Southern Californians have ever experienced. Of the 10 earthquakes Scharer and her colleagues found in the past 1,200 years, the most common magnitude was about magnitude 7.5.

The United States Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service confirmed the existence of the highly pathogenic H7 strand of avian influenza in Lincoln County, Tennessee -- specifically in a commercial chicken flock at a farm affiliated with Tyson Foods. This marks the first outbreak of avian flu in commercial poultry in over a year, The Wall Street Journal reports.

There are 73,500 birds in the affected flock, all of which will be killed to prevent the disease from spreading. No infected birds will reach the U.S. food system, nor have recent bird flu outbreaks been a threat to human health, The Wall Street Journal notes.

State health officials have quarantined the area in question. The Tennessee Department of Agriculture is helping farm workers take the necessary precautions to stop from getting sick and passing the disease to others.

While the bird flu has hit farms in both Europe and Asia recently, the U.S. hasn't seen much activity since the 2015 outbreak that left more than 50 million chickens and turkeys dead. There was a case last year on an Indiana turkey farm, though it appears to have been an isolated incident, Tennessee state officials told The Wall Street Journal.

North Korea threatened the U.S. and South Korea of an "actual war" over their joint military exercises just a day after Pyongyang launched four missiles Monday. North Korean diplomat Ju Yong Choi made the comments Tuesday in Geneva to a U.N. disarmament body, according to Reuters.
The joint military exercises were described as “massive, unprecedented” and a “major cause of escalation of tension that might turn into actual war,” Reuters reported. The diplomat also said that the drills were aimed at conducting a “pre-emptive nuclear attack” against Pyongyang.
In response, U.S. Disarmament Ambassador Robert Wood said North Korea was "a pariah, an outlier" that has violated multiple U.N. Security Council resolutions and international law by conducting nuclear tests and ballistic missile launches.
The latest missile launches also pushed the U.S. to deploy its missile defense system at the Osan Air Base in South Korea. The Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) is likely to become operational as early as April.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's regime has been criticized for its latest provocation, which came just days after Pyongyang warned of “merciless military counter-actions” if Washington and Seoul provoked the reclusive country.
“Should the U.S. imperialists and the South Korean puppet forces fire even a single shell into the waters where the sovereignty of our Republic is exercised, the KPA will immediately launch its merciless military counter-actions.  They should not forget that our revolutionary armed forces have everything in place and are always on alert,” the General Staff Department of the Korean People's Army said at the time.
