UN Move Towards World Government, Russia Increases Preparations For War

UN Move Toward World Government With First-Ever Globally Televised Leadership Debate | The Daily Bell

10 candidates for next UN chief to be in “globally televised” debate  … Ten of the 12 candidates who have announced their bids to replace UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will take part in a first-ever “globally televised” debate, President Mogens Lykketoft of the General Assembly said here Monday.  – xinhuanet.com

The UN is moving faster now to become the empowered body of world government and this mimic of a democratic election, as reported above, is just one more piece of the puzzle.
There are of course reports that UN vehicles are seeding Western parts of the United States as well, preparatory for some sort of US national security operation that will make use of UN vehicles.
Meanwhile, using the global blunderbuss of climate change, the UN has been organizing international conferences that supersede national authority.
Most recently, the UN created the “largest coalition of mayors to combat climate change.”
The Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy is, according to the UN, “the world’s largest coalition of mayors, spanning six continents, representing 7,100 cities and 119 countries.”
The UN describes it as the “first-of-its-kind global initiative of cities and local governments leading in the fight against climate change.”
According to a European Commission (EC) press release, the Mayors and coalition represent more than 600 million inhabitants and more than 8% of the world’s population.
Announcing the accord in Brussels, EC Vice-President Maros Sefcovic said, “The EU Covenant of Mayors shows that when mayors share a vision of a low-carbon future and roll up their sleeves, things get done …

“Bottom-up and close to the citizens: that is the strength of the European Covenant. As of today, this will become the strength of the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy, a coalition that is truly unique on the global scene.”
Expanded activism is evident in the UN’s first-ever “globally televised” debate to be held in the UN General Assembly hall Tuesday evening.
It will be broadcast by UNTV and Al Jazeera Media Network. General Assembly President Mogens Lykketoft elaborated at a press conference:
“The first globally televised event where 10 of the 12 candidates for the position of the next secretary-general are able to be present …
“The aim we are looking for is much broader participation in the general (UN) membership and the general public of the world in the selection of the next secretary general. This is the town hall of the United Nations.”
According to the UN Charter, “The secretary-general shall be appointed by the General Assembly upon the recommendation of the Security Council.”
In the past, the council has secretly chosen a single candidate for recommendation to the General Assembly.  But now nine of the 12 candidates have been publicly interviewed by General Assembly participants. . The 10th interview, of Figueres, is scheduled for Thursday.

Conclusion: At a time when internationalist forces are obviously moving to expand formal globalization on all fronts through such trade agreements as TPP, and by deepening the political bonds of the EU, the UN’s activities are not surprising. They are part of a larger whole.

Hundreds of military vehicles including mobile intercontinental ballistic missile launchers have been taking part in simulated military drills across Russia.
Footage has shown up to 400 vehicles take part in the exercise by rolling through wooded areas of the Altay region.
Among them were autonomous missile launchers including the Topol, Topol-M and the Yars as well as drones and hundreds of troops.

According to RT, crews manning the missile launchers are always training and the focus of the current drill was counter-sabotage measures.
The launchers are protected by special units of troops who specialise in detecting enemy forces, who might be waiting, and to eliminate their threat.

The Russian defence ministry explained that the summit of the drills is going to be conducting simulated launches by crews of mobile missile launchers taking part in the exercise, the ministry said.
The drills come as NATO and Russia hold their first talks since the alliance agreed at a summit in Warsaw to beef up its presence in eastern Europe due to fears over the Kremlin's expansionism.
The meeting between ambassadors from the 28-nation alliance and Russia is the first since April and just the second since 2014, when the Ukraine crisis plunged relations into a deep freeze.

Moscow said it would discuss the risks of the US missile shield that NATO declared operational at the summit in the Polish capital, as well as improving airspace safety over the Baltic.
Russia has been strongly critical of the NATO decision, accusing the alliance of aggression and warning that it will react to the deployment of forces in its former Soviet backyard.

The Russian Strategic Missile Forces Academy is developing a hypersonic strategic bomber capable of striking with nuclear warheads from outer space, Lt. Col. Aleksei Solodovnikov told RIA Novosti on Wednesday.
A trial model of Russia's nuclear-capable outer space strategic bomber will be developed by 2020, according to its developer.

Russian commander of the Strategic Missile Forces (SMF), Colonel General Sergei Karakayev, had earlier reported that the Russian Strategic Missile Forces Academy has already developed and tested an engine for the experimental aircraft.
The engine is expected to be showcased at the Army-2016 International Military Technology Forum, which is set to take place on September 6-11 in the Moscow Region.

“The idea is that the bomber will take off from a normal home airfield to patrol Russian airspace. Upon command it will ascend into outer space, strike a target with nuclear warheads and then return to its home base,” Solodovnikov told RIA Novosti.

Yars & Topol-M intercontinental ballistic missiles rumble in massive Russian drill — RT News

Several hundred military vehicles, including mobile intercontinental ballistic missile complexes (ICBMs), are taking part in extensive field exercises throughout Russia, training in counter-sabotage and performing simulated launch drills.

About 400 military vehicles, among them autonomous missile launchers Topol, Topol-M and Yars, accompanied by command posts, security vehicles, anti-sabotage complexes armed with drones and combat robots are out in the open for drills, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
Land-based mobile missile systems must be protected at every stage while on the patrol, which lasts up to a month. The military vehicles are rolling through the woods from the European part of Russia to the remote wilderness of the Altay Region.
At the ‘heart’ of the counter-sabotage effort of each convoy is Taifun-M armored reconnaissance vehicle developed specially for the Russian strategic missile forces. It operates a whole range of sensors, radars and scanners, controlling the space around the missile convoy. It can detect any suspicious human activity several kilometers away, also using a UAV, and guide a special unit accompanying the convoy on target, suppress electric circuits of roadside mines etc.

The ICBM convoys will simulate passing radiation contaminated territories, repelling attacks from the air and from the ground, and also counteracting with other troops operating within the area of their responsibility.

The summit of the drills is going to be conducting simulated launches by crews of mobile ICBM complexes taking part in the exercise, the ministry said.
